  • Mikael changed the description of the project idea Project Idea logo of Research and innovation strategies of R&D in emerging technologies for a sustainable futureResearch and innovation strategies of R&D in emerging technologies for a sustainable future from "Emerging technologies from research and innovation can substantially contribute to reduce negative impact of energy and environmental issues. The SDGs are for the year 2050. The technologies have to increase their readiness level, and the R&D must not be stopped after some years due to lack of funding. The route to come from low TRL to higher TRL makes it necessary to have strategies which will support to enable several EU project fundings. This sets the requirement to think in new ways about partnerships, the research environment, the innovation and entrepreneurship from research, and all the way to engagement with citizens and policy makers. A platform can be active to share experiences, practices, and act in joint ways to address the challenges.

PRIORITY 4: COOPERATION GOVERNANCE Objective 4.1 Project Platforms" to "I have modified the description. Original was from last year. If this is still interesting, message me and we organize meeting to discuss a consortium. A main applicant is needed (I have SME).

Virtual innovation ecosystems based on place based competence

Local (regional) innovation ecosystems have traditionally focused on the physical meeting as facilitator for ideas and exchange. That interaction*creates new developments for regional economic growth. A typical example is the science park.

The concept of place based innovation in the smart specialisation strategy (S3) by European Commission has been established during recent years. In this, the actions use local strengths in skills, competence, knowhow to promote new development. The local strengths are positioned in larger context by smart specialisation strategy. The S3 is a long-term development.

There are various local innovation ecosystems, from small to larger. They may have their unique niche. That makes them strong but they are still limited due to the physical placement.

Professionals with competence is available via internet. The use of online tools has established new ways to create useful interaction without the same need of physical meeting.

Local innovation ecosystems which interact virtually can add competence and opportunities from each other. Each innovation ecosystem will have access to a wider range of competencies and innovative development.

In this proposal we focus on virtual innovation ecosystems to strengthen the local (physical) ecosystems by interaction with each other using digital tools. That builds resilience and progressive development in new ideas for economic growth." 1 year, 1 month ago

  • Johanna changed the description of the project idea Project Idea logo of Flip-EC: Flipped Energy Concept to Flip Climate ChangeFlip-EC: Flipped Energy Concept to Flip Climate Change from "Are you a municipality, educational organisation or an energy agency interested in involving schools and school communities in the energy transition process? We are looking for partners in order to implement energy efficiency measures schools and to raise awareness for sustainable and future-oriented actions among pupils, teachers, other school staff and beyond.

As educational institutions, schools have an important responsibility towards future generations and future decision-makers. The project Flip-EC closes the gap between existing knowledge and concrete options for action by bringing together all the players required for a consistent energy optimisation of school buildings. In fact, the building stock remains one of the biggest energy consumers and contributors to climate change. Buildings owned by local administrations are no exception and schools constitute a significant part of public buildings. Flip-EC will develop an energy-saving toolkit in order to involve the relevant stakeholders and target groups in the school community. The innovative pedagogical approach of the "flipped classroom method" will be used to enable students to take responsibility themselves while still at school and become active participants in the energy transformation process at their school and beyond. Didactic material will be jointly developed, tested and disseminated. School staff are provided with the necessary thematic and technical support in the area of energy management. Joint implementation creates self-efficacy, promotes the emergence of new ideas and arouses interest in taking responsibility for one's own actions in the future and possibly also in professions that are needed for the energy transition.

Planned partnership: Hansestadt Lübeck, eduversum (publisher and educational agency) as well as other local authorities (cities and regions), energy agencies, environmental organisations, associations related to education.

Possible target groups: municipalities, inter-municipal, regional, educational and higher education organisations, students, teachers, school staff, school directors, authorities responsible for schools, research institutes cooperating with schools." to "Are you a municipality, educational authority, educational organisation or an energy agency inter-ested in involving schools and school communities in the energy transition process? We are looking for partners to jointly develop a concept aimed at school decision-makers.

A lot of materials and measures to save energy for schools in the Baltic Sea region and beyond (didactic material for teachers, ideas for project weeks etc.) are available and is being used in school contexts. There are certainly many active schools, climate-conscious teachers and school directors as well as engaged pupils, but they can only take influence within their reach of competences. The big-level decisions are taken by the building owners, i.e. local public authorities. Nevertheless, the schools pave the way for young people to develop a sense of duty and to promote sustainable action and transport it into the future.

The Flip-EC concept bridged the gap between public local authorities which have an important responsibility towards schools, as they are the owner of the school buildings and are therefore the competent decision-making body to implement energy-saving measures related to the building envelope and condition. Flip-EC will provide knowledge and concrete options for action by bringing together all the players required for a consistent energy optimisation of school buildings. Public local authorities’ staff are provided with the necessary thematic and technical support in the area of energy management at schools. Additionally, the importance of participation processes is inte-grated into the concept, which combines the joint implementation of energy-saving measures with and within the schools, the development of new ideas and the participation of various stakeholders.

Planned partnership: Hansestadt Lübeck, eduversum (publisher and educational agency) as well as other local authorities (cities and regions), energy agencies, environmental organisations, associations related to educa-tion.

Possible target groups: Municipalities, inter-municipal, regional authorities responsible for school buildings, educational and higher education organisations, students, teachers, school staff, school directors, research institutes cooperating with schools." 1 year, 2 months ago
