Włodzimierz A.Sokół (D.Sc.Eng.) has over 40 years experience in R&D and management in power engineering, nuclear engineering, chemical and mining industry as well as in management of international projects cofinanced by World Bank, Swedish Institute and EU "Central Europe Programme " and "Baltic Sea Region Programme" . Now Dr Sokół manages the Center for Ecoefficient Technologies ECOPLANT.com.pl that is private project for supporting and promoting implementation of innovative eco-efficient technologies for the industry and regional environmental management (REMAS). The Centre creats the ideas of new projects and matchmaking some partners for EU and other international projects. Dr Sokół is as well a leading auditor of Certification Office of Polish Register of Ships in range of verification of EMAS, auditing of packaging recyclers and verification of annual reports on GHG emissions (EU ETS). As a Member of the Supervisory Board of ELEKTROMETAL SA from Cieszyn he is versed in innovative solutions for mining, gas and lighting market as well as in electromobility. The results of implementation of eco-efficient technologies, regional environmental management systems, regional sustainable development, Cleaner Production, safety of power plants and chemical installations, sustainable revitalization of brownfields in postindustrial areas and others, he published as main author or co-author in over 170 publications (in English, Polish, German, Russian).
