Polish Union of Active Mobility (PUMA) is innovation oriented, national association of local governments interested in promotion and improvement of various aspects of active mobility. Active mobility is understood here as any means of transportation that makes use of natural human energy (e.g. cycling or walking), also with connection with public transport, and is an alternative to the traditional – i.e. motorized – means of transportation, especially private cars. The main aim of the association is to increase the investment and touristic attractiveness of member cities and communes, achieved, among other, by improving the quality of local public space.
