Personal description

The Food Bank in Olsztyn is a non-governmental organization. We specialize in obtaining food and distributing it to the needy inhabitants of Warmia and Mazury. We save food from being wasted, we educate on proper nutrition and not wasting food, and we activate people socially and professionally. Our activities also focus on food education. We teach how to plan shopping so as not to throw away food and what to do with products left in the fridge. We explain how to prepare meals so that they are tasty and consistent with nutritional principles. For this purpose, we conduct many workshops and training courses. Their participants include, but are not limited to, people receiving social assistance. We also train children to learn good eating habits from an early age and how not to waste food. Another important goal of our activities is the professional activation of people at risk of exclusion or socially and professionally excluded. We help you get back into the job market. We conduct training, workshops and long-term programs thanks to which their participants can improve their social status. We organize internships, provide professional psychological and advisory assistance, and job coaches, so that ultimately, people using these programs return to the labor market.
