Via Baltica - the way to build economic resilience for entrepreneurs.

Via Baltica – the way to build economic resilience for entrepreneurs.

active 3 weeks, 5 days ago

The events of last two years have shown how important good international relations are and how positive contacts between members of EU are key to dealing with many problems. The Via Baltica (European Road E67) and its key Baltic Sea section between Warsaw and Helsinki, like most European routes, is designed to strengthening this relations.
Many companies are rapidly building their branches and outposts along the route, knowing that will allow them not only faster, but also cheaper to communicate along the country and with the Baltic Sea region.
However the huge potential for cooperation, shortening supply chains and reducing transport costs is currently completely untapped. Companies along this key route are often unaware of each other’s existence and do not currently have the tools to effectively search for the contractors along the route.
Purchasing habits resulting from several decades of globalisation lead businesses to search for suppliers and customers for their products without territorial classification. Until now, there has not been a habit of searching in close proximity, the main determinant being price. However the experience of the last two years has shown how quickly the situation can change, with rising energy prices and disrupted supply chains the purchasing strategies of most companies are changing.
In an attempt to prepare the local economy for what may happen tomorrow, we want to create a tool that gives a quick and reliable search for information on what companies in close proximity to the Via Baltica route between Warsaw and Helsinki are able to offer each other. Today, when the economy has stabilized, this will only be an additional opportunity, whereas in a crisis situation it may be a key condition for many of them.
