International House North Denmark (IHND) is a public service entry-point located in Aalborg in the region of North Denmark. We offer help and guidance to both international citizens settling in the region and companies recruiting, onboarding and retaining international employees. IHND is a part of the municipality of Aalborg and houses one of Denmark’s International Citizen Services. As a member of several collaborative networks and projects, we strategically represent the region in national and international endeavors. IHND plays an integral part in improving the region’s ability to attract, welcome and retain international workforce. Established in 2015, IHND has experience in both leading and participating in EU-funded project partnerships aiming to attract and retain a qualified international workforce to North Denmark. IHND is interested in participating in projects that can develop new services and enhance our established services. International House North Denmark services International House North Denmark provides support to international residents and companies in North Denmark through a variety of services and initiatives. Our services include job seeking assistance, business guidance, and supporting cultural and leisure activities for internationals. IHND helps international citizens integrate into the local community and workforce, ensuring they have access to necessary resources and support. 1. Job Seeking Assistance: Supporting international residents in finding and seeking employment opportunities in North Denmark and introducing them to the North Danish labor market and work culture. 2. Business Guidance: Providing advice and support to companies that have international employees, are planning on or are curious about recruiting internationals to their business. 3. Cultural Integration Programs: Organizing activities and events to help international citizens integrate into a local community. 4. Spouse Space Initiative: Supporting accompanying spouses and families of expats through monthly meetings, tailored activities, and networking opportunities. 5. Culture Companions Program: Matching newly arrived internationals with local hosts to introduce them to life in North Denmark and build bridges through a mentor-mentee program. 6. Networking Events: Hosting events to connect international residents with local businesses , associations, and communities. 7. Student Support: Assisting international students and graduates from local educational institutions in their transition from student to employee in the region.
