Ballard Power Systems Europe A/S was founded in January 2007 and is recognized as one of the leading players in the commercial application of LT PEM fuel cell solutions. The company is based in Hobro Denmark and employs 120 highly skilled people at its modern production facilities, which has been expanded in 2019 in order to produce and deliver the future fuel cell systems for heavy duty/maritime use in Europe. Ballard Power Systems Europe focus on three key business areas: Backup Power for critical infrastructure for the IT and telecom industry; Technology Solutions for customized heavy-duty fuel cell solutions and Fuel Cell bus service and support.
