I am a representative of a sole proprietorship (SME), actively seeking partners for a project within the Interreg Baltic Sea Region programme. My vision focuses on developing an IT system for managing product deposits and implementing a loyalty program based on returns. This system aims to solve the problem of fragmented deposit management and lack of standardized return/reward mechanisms in the Baltic Sea Region, which aligns with the programme's objective concerning Circular Economy and potentially Public services responding to the needs of citizens. The system's vision assumes the creation of an IT system for managing product deposits, awarding loyalty points for returns, and enabling their exchange for rewards. This system solves the identified problems by integrating various participants in the process (customers, suppliers, return points) and providing value to each party. Within the project, a set of microservices has been created in a Minimum Viable Product version, covering key functionalities such as registration, product and return point management, the return process with point calculation, customer account management (balance, history), a reward catalog, and reward redemption. Further development of the system beyond the MVP is also planned, including elements such as deposit item recognition through artificial intelligence. I am seeking partners from other Baltic Sea Region countries (e.g., public authorities, research institutions, SMEs, NGOs) interested in jointly developing a transnational digital solution that will contribute to increasing the efficiency of deposit systems and promoting sustainable practices in the region.
