Personal description |
The conducted research focuses on biological wastewater treatment, particularly on the anammox process, methanogenic fermentation, and dark fermentation. Special attention is given to issues related to antimicrobial resistance in the environment and the impact of micropollutants on the microbiome and resistome. Advanced molecular biology techniques are employed in scientific work, including metagenomic analysis, PCR, qPCR, FISH, and next-generation sequencing (NGS). Projects are carried out on the dissemination of antibiotic resistance in aquatic environments and the development of new methods for contaminant removal. The research also involves bioinformatic analysis of genetic data and the advancement of wastewater treatment technologies supported by diamond electrodes and bioelectrochemical processes.
