Anda Ikauniece is senior researcher and head of Marine Monitoring Department at the Latvian Institute of Aquatic Ecology (LIAE). She has a vast experience in marine monitoring issues, marine ecosystem functioning, sustainable use of marine resources and international cooperation. Anda has been working both with classic marine plankton surveys as well as with coastal monitoring thematicon birds, seals and fish. She is particularly interested in novel and remote monitoring methods, functioning of pelagic food-webs and development options of sustainable blue bioeconomy in Latvia.
