Personal description

PhD Alina Romanovska is a Senior researcher of the Centre of Cultural Research of the Institute of the Humanities and Social Sciences at Daugavpils University, Latvia. She has significant experience in establishing cooperation between the scientific and public sectors, researching the sphere of wellbeing of young people and the cultural identity of society, and promoting the development of the region. Her research interests include identity, regional studies, contemporary Latvian culture and comparative literature. She has more than 90 publications and is the author of a monograph. She has managed and/or participated in several international and national research projects, for example, The Seventh Framework Programme, Interreg (Latvia-Lithuania), National Research Programme “Letonika”, Cost Action, H2020. Within the framework of large projects, she can create a scientific basis for the project, carry out research, as a result of which the practical activities of the project will be substantiated.
