Personal description | Research areas of S. Sakowicz Inland Fisheries Institute include four main topics. 1. Development of the scientific basis for the protection of aquatic ecosystems and their management (creation of restocking models, species restitution, protection of biodiversity and genetic resources). 2. Improvement of the fish production biotechnology, including the issues of controlled reproduction, production of stocking material and consumption fish, selection, prevention and therapy of fish diseases. 3. Development of system for the valorization of aquatic ecosystems, taking into account hydrological, physicochemical and biological phenomena, and the creation of fisheries management models in inland waters. 4. Search for engineering and technical solutions enabling the rational and economical use of water and other environmental resources and developing their implementation in aquaculture. |
