To set the best standards for building social and institutional ties for cooperation in the BSR
active 1 day, 8 hours agoWhat are our practical goals in the implementation of the project:
1. To build test models for creating social and institutional connections for youth which would be most favorable for building lasting connections within the BSR.
The project will run only for 24 months. Due to the consultation processes, the best solution for the project will be to present to the partners the ready test models prepared by the lead partner in the first phase of the project for consultation and for the partners to choose the models that they will accept for testing. Building test models together from scratch could be time-consuming, which is not desirable in the perspective of the project’s 24-month duration. Additionally, not all partners have directional competences.
Each of the partners will have the opportunity to:
– to have access to the entire spectrum of models,
– to chose a model that is interesting /compatible for him or her in accordance with the preferences of his or her institution,
– to independent implementation of suggestions to adapt the model to his or her capabilities and needs,
– to implementation of the model after the phase of its consultation and verification.
2. Implementation of test models
Each of the partners implements the models within their scope and within their needs. The documentation necessary to run the models will be provided by the lead partner as part of the work indicated in point 1. In addition, partners under individual models will be able to connect as part of test work in order to maximize the international aspect and introduce the international effect of the tested model. As part of the testing activities, it is expected that the major part of the Category 7 budget will be dedicated to implementing the models. Out of the entire 20 months, the projects are expected to take 10 to 12 months to implement the models.
3. Research using the Theory of Change method.
Until now, this rarely used method due to its specificity and scope of the provided data appears to be the most appropriate to use. At the same time the project will show its suitability for use in social areas while taking into account economic benefits. The initial test model will be built at the phase of building the test models to ensure full correlation of all phases of the project. The test model will be used at the beginning to prepare the control documentation. The research model will be consulted with partners at phase 2 of the implementation of cooperation models – so as to take into account practical comments on an regular basis, but also to be able to start the study immediately after the implementation phase of practical models. It seems that the model will evolve in part two as, by design, the test method follows the results.
The greatest value of the study is its innovative nature. At the same time it also appears very promising in terms of indicating the effects of activities as a comprehensive approach focused on the effect and selecting the factors that cause it – not necessarily only those intended by intentionally caused influences.
The role of the partners:
Phase 1
Selection by partners the test models and consultation of these models in order to adapt them to the partners’ capabilities and perspectives of implementation.
Phase 2
Conducting test research models selected by partners while at the same time cooperating in defining the final research model
Phase 3
Delivery of data for research. At the final phase, the Lead Partner will be responsible for the final report. For the collecting data and processing the results.
To put it simply, the examples of the models are:
1. Organization of meetings of young people from the BSR from selected areas on selected topics. For example, organizing meetings of students from universities from a chosen field of study.
2. Organization of remote meetings, e.g. in the form of trainings/meetings /workshops in a selected thematic area where institutions will also be involved.
3. Mixed model where connections in person and via remote methods will be created.
Please remember that the above examples are only a simplification in a very general form and do not translate into specific models – they are only to illustrate the idea. The ideal form of implementing models would be if the responsible partner would perform activities in their scope of responsibilities and interests with focus on a specific goal that is in the interest of him or her. The institution and the community that he or she represents or in which he or she is involved – such purposefulness will have two effects:
a) creating connections related to the real need will have real effects and bring additional benefits to the partner, e.g. a chamber of commerce that wants to associate with or join newly established enterprises and enable them to cooperate – including with similar entities from abroad, may perform activities aimed at this within the selected model – the effect is research material, but also forming the above-mentioned contacts, which is in the partner’s interest,
b) already at the phase of model implementation, the response to specific needs in the regions gives added value to the project and the BSR area – in the example above, business links are created,
c) Ultimately, the effect for the partner is not only the implementation of focused activities for the project, but most of all the response to own needs in the field of connections. Additionally, it also allows for the obtaining of information about the final result of their activities and their effectiveness, which will allow for the improvement of activities in the future.
The above-mentioned approach to the project creates multidimensional benefits and gives a practical dimension to the activities described in the project. That is why the first phase of consulting models and adapting them to project partners – as project entities – will be important.
What kind of institutions we are looking for? The best will be regional / national public institutions which are dedicated for youth or are responsible for youth politics in a regions / countries.
