Regional Data Acquisition Center with UAV Systems
active 18 hours, 59 minutes agoCreation of a Regional Data Acquisition Center (RDAC) with UAV systems (Unmanned Aerial Systems). The main task of the RDAC will be to acquire spatial data along with their processing and analysis, in order to provide support in the implementation of the Project Partners own tasks, related to:
* monitoring of technical infrastructure (e.g. buildings, road infrastructure (bridges, viaducts, roads), railway infrastructure);
* monitoring and environment protection (e.g. the source materials obtained will be processed and used as evidence during environmental inspections, supervision over the exploitation of mineral deposits, and then waste recovery activities in the process of reclamation of excavations);
* crisis management (e.g. in case of natural disasters);
* agriculture (monitoring of crops, control of technical infrastructure, assessment and estimation of crops damage from animals);
* mass events and promotion of the region (e.g. films promoting the given local government unit).
In cooperation with the Project Partners, detailed areas of application and technical possibilities of obtaining source materials will be defined for later use in their own tasks. The obtained source materials will be processed by specialists employed in the RDAC. As part of the project, specialist equipment for obtaining source data (UAV) will be purchased along with the necessary devices (cameras, sensors, etc.) and the necessary software for obtaining and processing source data. In addition, technical, service and substantive support for the RDAC will be provided. The project also provides for necessary training, both for specialists obtaining and processing source data (in the scope of obtaining the necessary qualifications, operating specialist software, new technologies, etc.) and recipients of the studies (in the scope of interpretation of thematic studies, data visualization and possibilities of their further use).
