Just and Inclusive Urban Mobility Planning in Baltic Cities - BSR JustMoves
active 8 months, 1 week agoIn the Baltic Sea Region, the needs of car drivers commuting during peak hours have often been the focus of mobility planning, and multimodal transport offer tends to cater mainly for the able bodied “average user”. JustMoves will address the lack of fair, just and inclusive mobility planning practices in Baltic Sea region cities via concrete actions that help the local and regional authorities finding better practices to include underserved groups in the mobility system. The local and regional authorities often lack the capacity and tools to properly include different user groups in the planning processes. The project addresses this issue by developing a monitoring and evaluation practices and tools for inclusive urban mobility planning and training package for inclusion in transport. The goal is to increase the accessibility of sustainable mobility to all user groups by taking into account the varying needs of different users groups of mobility systems.
