Insulation from composites
active 9 months, 2 weeks agoA pilot project to test the possibility of using composites made of recycled materials as thermal insulation. The project is to consist of the development of a dozen composites made largely (or entirely) of recyclates and various waste materials, including agriculture byproducts, e.g. hemp shives. The resulting composites will be subjected to thermal, strength and ageing tests. The project will aim to determine whether recycled materials in combination with, for example, natural materials can be used as insulation material in the construction of buildings, heating or cooling. The project is aimed at the construction and energy industries in the southern Baltic region.
