active 7 months agoThe growing scarcity of healthcare personnel is a serious societal challenge. Robotic technologies can provide valuable assistance to hospital staff and deliver safe care and quality services to patients. However, there is a distinct gap in knowledge sharing, implementation strategies, and general know-how about healthcare robotics that severely limits the use and adoption of new and innovative solutions to address the needs of the European healthcare sectors.
We propose to address this issue by developing a novel knowledge-based platform for facilitating higher innovation levels, better business cases, and a stronger healthcare system, where healthcare-specific robotics compliments existing services and care programmes. This Healthcare Robotics Knowledge Platform will connect healthcare providers, businesses and citizens on both an operational and strategic level to increase the uptake and implementation of healthcare robotics in the partner areas.
