Fostering integrated governance for the joint sustainable use of human and nature capital in the nea
active 2 years agoThe project idea is under the programme’s priority 2.2. Blue economy.
Project aims to help public authorities developing and implementing right solutions for the joint sustainable use of human and nature capital in the near shore zone.
The following potential solutions will be developed:
1) Collaboration planning – active working group/network for coastal communities; living labs, focusing on conflict resolution, common visions, and enhanced thematic/specific planning documents;
2) Online toolkit:
o concepts and criteria to be used for planners in coastal planning
o indicators and indexes, including indicators for evaluation impact of MSP on land-sea interactions, relevant pressures on human and nature capital;
o GIS tools
3) Digital applications for balancing coastal visitor impacts on coastal environment; assessment of visual impacts.
The work will be built to large extent on Land-Sea-Act project results.
To reach the target groups, besides online presence, we plan to make Stakeholder meetings, workshops and conferences.
Project idea is still in early development phase.
