ENERVERSE – Building Public Acceptance and Toolbox for Geothermal Energy Use in the Baltic Sea Regio
active 1 year, 9 months agoMastering of the second post-Covid-19 crisis – energy one – yields a next huge conundrum for all – governments, communities and citizens themselves. Over the last years, as a result of missed climate change mitigation policies and the outbreak of the war in the Ukraine, transition to sustainability in the energy domain became a crucial imperative. This project tackles energy crisis in heating and consumption of energy for public and industrial applications. In order to provide diversification opportunities of geothermal energy deployment in the BSR,to develop geothermal energy upscaling and roll-out possibilities to make it as a strategic future asset in energy transition, pilots will be tested in different action fields. This will ensure solution feasibility, diversification opportunities, cost and energy savings, scenario transferability, given heterogenity of resources and framework conditions in the BSR:
a) heating / cooling of residential / commercial buildings and private households;
b) aquaculture (fish and algae) farming;
c) food growing & processing and
d) industrial processing (drying, greenhouses, electricity generations).
Solution portfolio consist of 3 building blocks – all connected by the ENERVERSE Platform. We define Platform as a Servitisation Platform, which next to products provide value through services to customers, business model adaptation. Platform provide the foundation upon which outside firms (organised as business ecosystem) can develop their own complementary products, technologies, services.
The Lead Partner of the Project is Klaipeda Science and Technology Park (Andrius Sutnikas).
Idea co-developer and co-creator – FundBroker GmBH.
We are looking to integrating following partners to the project:
1) Local public authorities
2)Energy service providers
3) Municipal works
4) Cooperatives
5) Spatial planning specialists
6) Experts from commercial IT, AI, cybersecurity, mobility and logistics’ sectors
7) Environmental agencies, circular economy, tourism, sociologists (for the purpose of public spaces’ revitalisation and engagement of local people.
We aim at closing the partnership by the 24th February 2023.
