active 1 year, 10 months agoCall for Industry Partners
Dear Reader
We are a group of scientists working on circular nutrient recycling towards a sustainable Baltic Sea Region. We are contacting you with regards to a call for industry partners for an Interreg Baltic Sea Region Core Project proposal. The proposed project, CiNURGi, will be coordinated by RISE, the Research Institutes of Sweden (ri.se).
CiNURGi addresses the following knowledge and technology gaps in nutrient recycling • the assessment of nutrient resources at country levels • the development of evaluation tools, risk assessment and quality assurance requirements for fertilizer products • a review of current policy instruments and implementation towards increased market uptake of recycled fertilizer products and • nutrient recycling strategies best recommendations
The project is planned for a period of 3 years beginning 2024. The main source of funding is the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). Partners from Denmark, Finland, Germany, Sweden, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland can receive up to 80% ERDF co-financing. 20% from own contribution or other non-EU funding.
Industry Partner Benefits include • access to research facilities and network • access to ERDF funding • establish / enhance network of European organizations working in recycled nutrient products • knowledge sharing and knowledge transfer opportunities within and outside the consortium • actively influence policy recommendations • be actively involved in market creation and increased uptake of circular nutrients.
