Rebuild old water tower to observation tower in Natura2000 territory
active 2 weeks, 1 day agoDuring the project, it is planned to renovate an existing non-operational water tower in Skriveri Parish by transforming it into a modern tourism and education object—an observation tower with a parking lot, and pedestrian walkway – thus creating a high-quality recreational area for visitors of the River Daugava Nature Park. Daugava is the largest river in Latvia flooding into the Baltic Sea.
The project is effective in utilizing existing resources, preserving industrial architectural heritage, adapting it to a new form of active recreation, and simultaneously conserving biodiversity within the Nature Park territory (Natura 2000)
