Public procurement of innovation support tools for smart cities
active 10 months, 3 weeks agoThe proposed project addresses three main challenges that are directly related under the project framework: (1) there is a need to continue advancing to have more and better tools for cities and towns in the BSR regarding smart cities, however innovative projects include the procedures of public procurement of innovation (PPI) (2) municipalities tend to need more and better solutions for they have less resources and experience to implement PPI; (3) public procurement of innovation is a good tool to support smart cities development, but is not yet developed enough.
In order to address these challenges in a comprehensive manner, project partnership is to work in the definition of a number of pragmatic tools that can be tested and afterwards further disseminated to more stakeholders. These tools will be developed as part of the digital PPI support platform and tested by municipalities with the support of intermediary bodies.
We are looking for the intermediary organizations who are working on a topic of public procurement of innovation and municipalities which are willing to pilot the developed tools from SWEDEN and DENMARK mostly.
