The EU 2020 Circular Economy Action Plan aims to make sustainable processes/materials/products the norm in the EU and to achieve this goal; it requires new/alternative materials and new manufacturing techniques to produce bio-based products that are multifunctional, reusable, and recyclable. In line with Interrog Baltic Sea program objectives is to apply greener approaches focused on safety and sustainability process innovations to deliver closed-loop manufacturing of multi/functional biomass-based carbon materials for adsorbents to electrodes for battery and supercapacitors systems applications. The main objective of the project is to develop a greener approach based on multiple application of the same material (from Adsorbent to electrodes).
