The project aims to leverage AI and data economy in reflecting the following topics in tourist locations:
– effects of tourism to the location, local population and culture
– sustainable choices by the tourist during the travel
– certifications (such as sustainability) of companies in EU Digital Identity Wallet
– personal data utilization for tourism services
– data based services for the tourist
– logistics’ data

The project focuses on the services and effects that happens specifically during the trip. We aim to clarify the digital identity of a traveller and of the location (eg municipality). The analyzed data is used as a basis for service shared or sold in data economy infrastructures. Example of digital identity handling: When preparing for their business trip, person can store their passport, visa, and other travel documents on their mobile EU Digital Identity Wallet, allowing for quick and easy access when going through airport security and customs.

We are looking for locations with existing tourism industry and technical partners for service and data analytics -collaboration. Centria UAS is an experienced RDI actor, focusing on digitalization.
