Access to Mobility is Access to Participation (short name: A_MAP GreenCities)
active 1 year, 9 months agoA_MAP is targeting at a green city with reduced private car ownership and a well-functioning mobility system that equitably protects common livelihoods and shapes social transformation. The project enables a sustainable implementation of climate adaptation measures while also allowing cities and regions to rethink transport planning and to take a big step towards climate neutrality and therefore reduce the impact of climate change on a local and global scale.
The A_MAP consortium will consist of partners with project experience from the programme area (as it is a small project, not the whole area will be covered). It is important that the partners are already active in the basic theme and have done preliminary work, preferably in an international context, but at least in a national, local context. This guarantees efficient and effective cooperation and intelligent dovetailing with existing results.
A_MAP’s looks for partners include public administrations, transport operators, NGOs. The deadline for submission for small projects is 30th of March.
– Cities have the necessary technical and implementation competences.
– Public transport companies support the urban partners.
– NGOs contribute with their know-how to participatory processes and awareness-raising measures in the field of sustainable mobility – especially for walking and cycling.
