We are creating a proposal for the Horizon Europe call HORIZON-CL3-2024-DRS-01-03 – Harmonised/Standard protocols for the implementation of alert and impact forecasting systems (URL = https://ec.europa.eu/info/funding-tenders/opportunities/portal/screen/opportunities/topic-details/horizon-cl3-2024-drs-01-03).

We propose to develop existing technologies to provide precise disaster forecasts and simulations. The platform will utilise established data processing tools to construct a data engine capable of synthesising diverse data streams for improved disaster prediction and simulation and will provide a straightforward operational command dashboard with visualisation tools for efficient management of emergency responses. An associated mobile app will facilitate direct communication with citizens for alerts and feedback. Collaborative interactions with stakeholders will guide platform development, ensuring its utility and effectiveness in actual emergency scenarios. The platform is designed to influence disaster response protocols by offering predictive geographical spread of disasters and connecting local responders to incidents and will autonomously allocate resources and manage distribution to the most critical areas, informed by disaster simulations.

We are a varied consortium including some significant European institutions, and we would like to find a Baltic partner interested in participating in a pilot activity focussing on fire (preferably) or flooding (also acceptable).
